据国外媒体报道，社交媒体公司Facebook证实，旗下图片分享社交应用Instagram的短视频新功能“Reels”将于8月初在美国推出。这个山寨抖音 版TikTok风格的短视频功能，于去年年底在巴西 推出，它允许Instagram用户使用音频和配乐，录制和编辑15秒的视频剪辑。

According to foreign media reports, Facebook, a social media company, confirmed that the new short video feature "reels" of instagram, its image sharing social app, will be launched in the United States in early August. The copycat version of the tiktok international version of the TikTok style short video feature was first launched in Brazil at the end of last year, allowing Instagram users to record and edit video clips for 15 seconds using audio and music.

Instagram用户可以在InstagramStories中创建和共享Reels，并且可以使用他们个人资料页面上的新标签来访问他们的短视频。公共账户可以在InstagramExplore页面上共享视频，用户可以选择在他们的个人资料页面和粉丝的Feeds中是否显示Reels。

因为印度禁止TikTok，Reels在美国上市前，这个月已经在印度市场进行了测试。根据NBCNews报道，Facebook还将在美国、英国、日本、墨西哥等50多个 推出Reels。

此前，Reels作为一种应用内功能，一直嵌入到Instagram中， 初于去年11月在巴西推出，后来又扩展到欧洲的法国和德国市场。现在，InstagramReels正式独立出来，并且为了抢占TikTok的印度市场份额，已经率先进行了测试。

无论TikTok的运营是否会遭到美国禁止，Facebook显然希望从竞争对手的社交平台上赢得用户。与此同时，其它一些社交应用也在利用TikTok遭遇封杀的机会，瞄准短视频应用市场这块大蛋糕。据报道，“阅后即焚”照片分享应用Snapchat已开始在为其视频内容测试类似TikTok风格的导航功能，而谷歌旗下视频分享平台YouTube也正在测试一个用于“小群组”的短视频应用内功能。
